  • Q: How much the interest of 100,000 php in 1 year? Also of 200,000 php? Thanks

    • R: For a current amount of 100,00 pesos We use BDO rate 0.25% > eliminate percentage 0.25% divided by 100 = 0.0025 interest rate p.a, For 1 year: 0.0025 p..a rate times 100,000 pesos = approx. 250 pesos Note: Since all deposit products are subject to 20% withholding tax. Therefore, 250 pesos times 0.20 withholding tax = 50 pesos Final interest in one year is >>> 250 - 50 = approx. 200 pesos (exclusive of centavos) To learn more, explore (use Savings Currency 'Other' under Standard Savings Calculator): http://www.thecalculatorsite.com/finance/calculators/savings-calculators.php

  • Q: How much is the interest of 26,000 if we deposit it for for one year?

    • R: Principal 26,000 pesos BDO rate 0.25% > eliminate percentage 0.25% divided by 100 = 0.0025 interest rate p.a, For monthly interest credit: 0.0025 p.a. divided by 12 months = 0.0002083333 Thus, principal x rate = base: 26,000 times 0.0002083333 = 5.42 pesos interest monthly Note: Since all deposit products are subject to 20% withholding tax. Therefore, 5.42 times 0.20 withholding tax = 1.08 Final monthly interest is >>> 5.42 - 1.08 = 4.34 pesos.
