The 'Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company' or Metrobank is a major universal bank in the Philippines. It is listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange with the symbol MBT and is a member of Philippines Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Metrobank was established in 1962 and provides banking and financial products and services for individual consumers, businesses and corporate customers. It has a network of 752 branches and 1358 ATMs across the Philippines as at 2010 (2010 Annual Report) as well as a web-based internet banking and mobile platform.
Its products for consumer savings include savings accounts (including foreign currency savings accounts), checking accounts and time deposit accounts including peso time accounts and foreign currency time accounts.
